Julie Chasin, Founder & Guide

Often found cheering “Venga Venga!” at riders on hills, Julie began cycling properly after signing up for a multi-day charity ride across New England.  Fortunately a hurricane shortened the ride as she was woefully underprepared to cycle that distance on a rusty hybrid bike!  But in the process a love for life on two wheels and the friends you make while riding was born.  Since then Julie has bought more new bikes than she is prepared to admit, learned to keep them (mostly) clean and rust free, served as chair of London Women’s Racing, relocated from New York to London to Mallorca and lost track of how many times she has climbed Sa Calobra. Eventually she decided it was time to chase her dream of starting a cycling company focused on bringing people together on two wheels for amazing days of riding in beautiful places in the sun. She loves showing riders her favourite routes on Mallorca and other parts of Europe and helping people achieve  things that they didn’t think possible.   Her bike(s) have opened doors all around the world and while she may not always speak the same written language as the people she rides with, they all share the common language of the love of cycling.

Helen Bridgman, Guide & Coach

Another late convert to cycling, Helen now can’t get enough of it.  Her reputation of saying yes to crazy cycling challenges and pursuing big dreams has taken her to all sorts of amazing places, meeting incredible people along the way and having adventures with lifelong memories. Starting with a  2-day 200 mile sportive when she could barely clip into cleats, she most recently completed the 2019 Tour de France route a day ahead of the professional men’s race. A passionate advocate for equality and getting more women on bikes, her team, InternationElles, rode for gender equality and to show what women are capable of.  Equally happy racing on wet cobblestones, flying down twisty hair-pin descents or rolling along Mallorca lanes, Helen loves guiding riders along her favourite roads to some of the best cafe stops on the island. Constantly inspiring others, Helen has recently launched her own cycle coaching business to help others dream big and achieve their own goals.

Stephen Shipley, Founder, Guide & Mechanic

Stephen has ridden a bike for more years than he cares to mention.  From his early years in woollen shorts route-finding around his home in the UK he’s racked up many miles across Europe, moved to the beautiful island of Mallorca and has got used to wearing lycra.

Stephen loves to share the enjoyment that cycling has brought him; feeling the freedom that a bicycle offers, connecting with nature and the environment, being part of the worldwide community of cyclists and sharing a beer and a laugh along the way. He even met his wife on a bike ride.

Stephen is a Cytech qualified bicycle mechanic and needs a bigger toolbox.

The Venga Dogs, Soigneurs

Forget post-ride massages and recovery drinks, Cooper and Bertie are the best post-ride, salty leg lickers on the island. Having spent many an early weekend morning stood along British road sides cheering on Julie at bike races, these two are well known on the London Women’s Racing time trial circuit. They have fine taste in cycling socks, know their cortados from their cafe con leches and can always be relied on to be sure any floor is crumb free.
